Cult With No Name is a UK post-punkelectronic balladeers who have garnered widespread acclaim for their emotive and heartfelt music.
Formed in the early 2000s, the band has since released 10 studio albums of atmospheric, and evocative electro-acoustic alternativemusic, each fusing elements of Jon Boux’s sweeping piano and strings with Erik Stein’s baritone, and deceptively playful and dark lyrics.
Collaborators include Tuxedomoon, Kelli Ali (ex-Sneaker Pimps), and John Ellis (ex-Stranglers). Theyhave also appeared on numerous compilations, including remixes for the likes of S-Express.
CWNN’s 2015 project, the soundtrack for the behind the scenes film ‘Blue Velvet Revisited’ with Tuxedomoon and John Foxx (ex-Ultravox), received enormous international acclaim and exposure, including from David Lynch himself who chose to premiere the film in Los Angeles. More recently the duo had music licensed to the HBO series ‘The New Pope’ and released their 10th album ‘Nights in North Sentinel’ in the August of 2021.
