Babymetal are Down to Collab with Rammstein, Måneskin, and The Backstreet Boys

Babymetal

Babymetal claim they interested in collaborating with several diverse artists including Rammstein, Måneskin, and The Backstreet Boys. We don’t think they mean at the same time—though we’re not entirely sure about that.

In a recent interview with Metal Hammer, the band opened up about some of the collaborations they like to get involved with.

The band have already worked with Bring Me The Horizon, Joakim Brodén of Sabaton, and Alissa-White Gluz of Arch Enemy, and they’d like to take things even further when it coms to the musical pairings they can get involved with.

In the interview, Su-metal says she’d like to work with Bring Me The Horizon Again and would also like to work with Rammstein because, as she puts it, “It would be so cool to blow fire!”

Her bandmate Moametal takes her requests in a slightly different direction, saying:

“Recently, I had the opportunity to speak to the Backstreet Boys, and we spoke about how we would love to perform together. I think it would be so fun and interesting to go beyond genres and collaborate with them. Also, I would love to collaborate with Måneskin. I was surprised to hear that they were actually younger than us because I totally thought they were older than me. But us both being in the same generation, I feel so inspired and also motivated.”

In the interview, Moametal also highlights how important the band pushing new ground and experimenting is to her, saying:

“Babymetal is constantly growing and evolving, and I believe change is always good. At times, I want to be a bit lazy and slack off, but… I know I need to shake it off and do my best!”
